Larva
Drops from Hidden Stash. This new arrival to Azeroth was spawned a short time ago. It seeks to thrive while awaiting its next phase of evolution. Beast type. The best way to catch a Larva. 1.
Larva is a wild battle pet found exclusively in Ghostlands, Eastern Kingdoms, and is notoriously rare due to its spread-out spawns, shared spawn spots with other critters, and the fact that not every spawn is capturable.

Travel to Ghostlands
Head to Ghostlands in Eastern Kingdoms — Larva spawns are spread across the entire zone. There are 36 known spawn locations ranging from the northwest at 24.6, 14.6 to the far east at 78.2, 21.6, so be prepared to roam widely.
Clear Lower-Level Pets
Kill any level 4 or lower wild pets you encounter in the area. Lower-level pets only spawn one additional mob and cannot produce a Larva as a backup critter, so clearing them helps higher-level level 5 pets repopulate in their place.
Fight Level 5 Pets
Engage level 5 Spirit Crabs or Toads throughout the zone — for example near 24.6, 14.6 on the western beach. Level 5 pets spawn an additional mob during battle, and Larva has a chance to appear as one of those two battle pets. Check the name carefully, as Maggots share the same appearance as Larva.
Identify and Capture Larva
When a Larva appears in battle, check whether it is Rare quality before capturing it. Spawn locations span the full zone, so if no Larva appears near 24.6, 14.6 or 28, 14.8, move to other verified spots such as 42, 52, 55.2, 53.8, or 72.2, 40.8 and repeat the process.
Tips
Larva does not appear in Naxxramas — its battle pet form only spawns in Ghostlands.
Spiders and rats share spawn points with Larva; killing them gives those spots a chance to respawn as a Larva.
