Meet the Requirements
You must be a Kyrian covenant member and have your Anima Conductor upgraded to Rank 3. Without both of these, Larionrider Orstus will not drop the pet.
Channel to the Location
Use your Rank 3 Anima Conductor to channel to the area where Larionrider Orstus spawns. Find Larionrider Orstus at 22.2, 22.4 in Bastion.
Pull Only the Right Rare
When the rares spawn, use a ranged attack to pull only the right rare (Larionrider Orstus) and drag him back — the left rare will not engage. This allows you to fight Orstus alone, making it possible to solo or require a much smaller group.
Defeat Orstus and Loot
Defeat Larionrider Orstus at 22.2, 22.4 in Bastion and check his loot — the pet will only appear in his loot table, not from the other rare. If Orstus has no loot, the attempt may not count, so be aware this can happen even if the Anima Conductor is active.
Farm on the Same Character
The Larion Pouncer can drop more than once on the same character, so repeated kills on a single character are valid. The drop rate is very low — one player reported 36 attempts between their first and second drop.
Tips
Larionrider Orstus can be solo pulled, making it possible for well-geared players to obtain this pet without a group.
The Larion Pouncer is tradeable and can be found on the Auction House if you prefer to skip the farm.
