Meet Item Level Requirement
You must have a minimum item level of 615 to queue for the 10th Anniversary Molten Core LFR. Check your character's average item level before attempting to queue.
Complete Molten Core Once First
On your first completion of the 40-player LFR Molten Core, you will receive a helm for your armor type, the
Core Hound Chain mount, and no chance at Hatespark the Tiny — the pet only becomes available on subsequent runs.
Run Molten Core Repeatedly
After your first clear, each additional run of the 40-player LFR Molten Core gives you a chance to receive Hatespark the Tiny or the
Illusion: Flames of Ragnaros. Neither drop is guaranteed, so multiple repeat runs may be required. Ragnaros is located at 56.2, 53.3 in Molten Core.
Tips
Hatespark the Tiny excels against mechanical pets using a Flamethrower, Conflagrate, and Deep Burn combo — Flamethrower maintains the burning debuff, Conflagrate is used on cooldown, and Deep Burn fills in between.
You can swap Conflagrate for Cauterize if you need more survivability or anticipate a hard-hitting mechanical opponent ability.
The
Illusion: Flames of Ragnaros, the other possible repeat-run reward, is reusable once obtained.See the video guide for a full walkthrough of the Molten Core run.
