Locate Barrens Giraffes
Head to at 29.24, 47.4 in the Barrens and look for Barrens Giraffes — Giraffe Calves spawn alongside these giraffes, not with the Dusthoof Giraffes in the area. Killing Zhevras or Plainstriders will not trigger calf spawns.
Kill Roaming Gazelles
While waiting for Barrens Giraffe packs to respawn around at 29.24, 47.4, kill any roaming or lone Gazelles south of the Overgrowth — this has been confirmed to trigger Giraffe Calf spawns after a few minutes of killing and waiting for herds to respawn.
Circuit the Spawn Area
Run circuits of the Barrens map around at 29.24, 47.4 while waiting for Barrens Giraffe packs and Gazelle herds to respawn, as Barrens Giraffe packs appear across a wide area of the map.
Tips
Giraffe Calves will never appear as the second pet in a battle — if one would normally appear in that slot, it is replaced by a non-capturable Gazelle instead, so you must find a Calf as the primary battle pet.
