Locate Festering Maggots
The Festering Maggot shares spawn spots with other critters in its area. It does NOT appear as a secondary pet in other Eastern Plaguelands pet battles, so you must find and engage it directly in the wild.
Force Spawns By Clearing
If you need a rare-quality Festering Maggot, kill all other critters in the area rather than simply flying around, as clearing the surrounding critters causes maggots to spawn significantly more often.
Identify The Correct Pet
The Festering Maggot is the white variety of maggot rather than the tan variety, and makes a squishy glooping sound when clicked. Even at Uncommon quality it has a large HP pool, so an Uncommon capture is still serviceable if a rare proves elusive.
Tips
The Festering Maggot is an H/H breed type, giving it notably high health — base stats at rare level 25 are 1400 HP, 260 Power, and 260 Speed.
