Hunt Secondary Battles
Emerald Turtles appear far more often as secondary pets in wild battles than as primary spawns in the open world. Battle any wild pet in the zone and watch for the Emerald Turtle to appear as a secondary — they have been found attached to a wide variety of critters, including the Masked Tanuki, and not necessarily near water.
Target the H/H Breed
When capturing, aim for the H/H breed, which gives a massive 1969 HP at level 25 rare — one of the largest HP pools available on any wild pet. The B/B breed is also worth considering, as it matches the 260 power of the B/B Turquoise Turtle while retaining a larger health pool, though both breeds will go second in most fights due to the turtle's low speed.
Note Its Unique Abilities
Unlike most other turtles, the Emerald Turtle has a different ability loadout that gives it an edge against flying enemies, and it is particularly strong against flyers that deal undead damage, such as Nether Ray Fry, Tiny Sporebat, Tirisfal Batling, and the wild Bat.
Tips
The Emerald Turtle's combination of a massive HP pool, a shield, a heal, and Powerball makes it an exceptional meat shield — you will often find it is the last pet standing in close fights where staying power decides the outcome.
