The Dust Bunny is a wild pet found in Dalaran during the Legion expansion, obtained by clicking a sparkly Dusty Rug hidden around the city to gain a 15-minute buff that makes the bunnies visible only to you.

1

Locate a Dusty Rug

Search Dalaran for a Dusty Rug surrounded by large sparkles. There are four known spawn locations: the Barber Shop at 52.6, 30 (middle of the room, behind the chairs), the Magical Menagerie at 59, 38.2 (behind the desk), the Horde-side Filthy Animal inn at 64.3, 38 (outside), and the Alliance-side Greyfang Enclave at 31, 72.9 (behind the Paladin portal). Only one rug appears in the city at a time, and multiple players can click the same rug.

2

Click the Rug and Get Buffed

Click the Dusty Rug to receive the 15-minute Spring Cleaning buff, which is the only way to see the Dust Bunnies spawned around Dalaran's streets. Note that pet icons will not appear on the minimap until you exit the building where you clicked the rug.

3

Find and Catch a Rare

While buffed, Dust Bunnies will appear throughout Dalaran in multiple breeds including P/S, S/S, and S/B. Engage and battle them as standard wild pets — a rare quality Dust Bunny has been found after roughly eight checks, and the 15-minute buff typically provides enough time to catch one and still have several minutes remaining.

Tips

  • You can attempt to click a rug in the opposite faction's area — the buff works regardless of which faction's rug you use.

  • Server-hopping can help you find a rug that is already spawned, since the respawn window can range from roughly 30 minutes to once a day.

  • See the video guides for a visual walkthrough of the rug locations and bunny spawns.
