Travel to Dragonblight
Head to Dragonblight in Northrend, where Dragonbone Hatchlings can be found flying around dragon skeletons before occasionally landing to perch. Known spawn locations are spread across the zone at 62.6, 29.6 — 65.8, 44.6 — 65.2, 53.6 — 67.0, 63.6 — 62.6, 67.2 — and 56.8, 59.0.
Identify the Hatchling
Dragonbone Hatchlings are black-tipped white in color, distinguishing them from the greyer or bluish Dragonbone Condors in the area. When clicked, they produce a loud squawking-hissing sound, which can help you locate them.
Battle and Capture the Pet
Engage the Dragonbone Hatchling in a pet battle to capture it. The group at 65.2, 53.6 is close to a stable master, making it a convenient spot to level your battle pets from level 1 to 10 in around 8 fights, or from level 22 to 23 in about 5 battles.
