Travel to Uldum or Tanaris
Desert Spiders spawn in Uldum and Tanaris. In Uldum, they occasionally appear in groups of three across the desert terrain.
Identify a Rare Desert Spider
Desert Spiders can be found at Rare quality. When a group of three spawns, you can kill two of them and wait for the pair to respawn — the respawned two are guaranteed to be tameable and will each have different quality ratings than the originals.
Engage and Capture the Spider
Start a pet battle with the Desert Spider to capture it. Note that the spider makes a constant clicking sound while walking and emits an insectoid hiss when clicked.
Tips
After killing two spiders from a group of three in Uldum, the two that respawn are guaranteed tameable and may differ in rarity from the original spawns, making this a reliable method for hunting a Rare.
