Decaying Mawrat
Drops from Fallen Adventurer's Cache. Tiny flakes of skin seem to perpetually fall off of this horrible creature, leaving behind a trail and a very distinct, foul odor. Critter type. I got mine from the Fallen Adventurer's Cache that dropped off a rare. I don't remember which rare it was, but it was not Ratgusher.

Fallen Adventurer's Cache, which drops from rares in the Shadowlands.

Defeat outdoor rares
Hunt outdoor rare spawns in the Shadowlands. The Fallen Adventurer's Cache can drop from rares such as Odalrik, and potentially others found outside rather than in caves.
Loot the cache
When a rare is defeated, loot the Fallen Adventurer's Cache from its corpse to obtain the Decaying Mawrat.
Upgrade the pet quality
The Decaying Mawrat starts as green quality and must be upgraded to blue quality to reach its full potential.
