Cheetah Cub
Source: Pet Battle. These playful feline cubs practice their hunting skills by stalking each other through the Barrens. Beast type. These guys are found cuddling up with "Plainsland Cheetahs", level 12~ cheetah npcs found underneath trees where there are no lions, all over Northern Barrens.
The Cheetah Cub is a wild Feline battle pet found in Northern Barrens that can be caught by battling cubs that spawn alongside adult Plainsland Cheetah NPCs resting under trees.

Travel to Northern Barrens
Head to Northern Barrens on Kalimdor and look for Plainsland Cheetahs resting under trees — Cheetah Cubs can spawn alongside these level 12 adult cheetahs.
Manage adult cheetah spawns
If a Plainsland Cheetah has a cub with her, battle the cub and leave the adult alive — the same adult will spawn a new cub within 3 to 5 minutes. If an adult has no cub after multiple passes, kill her, as her replacement may spawn with a cub.
Battle and catch rare cub
Skip any non-rare Cheetah Cubs and move on to the next spawn, returning to adults that are still alive so they can produce a fresh cub — rare quality Cubs can take several hours of cycling spawns to find.
Tips
The Cheetah Cub's only available breed is S/S, reaching 390 speed at level 25 rare — pair Prowl with Pounce to take full advantage of this.
