Char
Drops from Forgotten Shard of the Cipher. The skies may have scorched part of Revendreth, but persistent creatures are still able to exist in these harsh conditions. Elemental type. Looks like the way to be able to spawn the rare to have a chance for this pet is to put out fires during you ember court run.
Char is a cageable pet that drops from the Ashen Amalgamation rare, which spawns during the Ember Court scenario (Venthyr only) by putting out fires using
Anima-Infused Water.
Guide awaiting review
Befriend Silka First
You must reach Friendly reputation with Silka. After an Ember Court run where Silka ends the scenario as Very Happy or Elated, you will receive the Anima-Infused Water as a Court Favor upgrade. Verify you have it by checking your Court Favors achievement progress.
Select Traditional Decorations
When setting up your Ember Court, choose the Traditional decorations option. This decoration type places lit candles around the court and is the only way to trigger fires during the scenario.
Wait for Stonehead's Emote
During the Ember Court scenario, wait for Stonehead to say "Uh oh. Candles start fires." This emote confirms that fires have spawned inside your Ember Court.
Put Out the Fires
Use the Anima-Infused Water buckets found around the court to extinguish the fires. Ashen Amalgamation will spawn from one of the 30+ fires you can put out. When you see the emote "The smell of ash permeates the air," the rare has spawned.
Defeat Ashen Amalgamation
Kill the Ashen Amalgamation rare. Any member of your party can loot Char from the defeated rare, so bringing a friend allows them to receive the pet as well.
Tips
Char is cageable, meaning it can be traded or purchased from other players on the Auction House.
