Cave Crab
Source: Pet Battle. Buried amid sand and sediment, these crabs blend right into their environment. Aquatic type. These are an absolute pain to get to spawn. While they respawn fairly quickly, it seems they have a very high chance to spawn as a non-combat critter rather than a capturable battle pet.
Cave Crab is a wild pet found in Castaway Cove in The War Within that spawns as either a capturable battle pet or non-combat critter, with a respawn timer of approximately 2 minutes.

Search Castaway Cove perimeter
Run around the outside perimeter of Castaway Cove and use a macro to target Cave Crab spawns: /cleartarget /tar Cave Crab /tar Paleshell Crab /cleartarget /stopmacro. If you don't see a spawn after a couple minutes, check the smaller back cove where the Darkfuse are located.
Engage the battle pet
When a Cave Crab battle pet spawns, engage it in combat to capture it. Cave Crabs spawn in three color variations: purple with a teal shell (most common), blue with a yellow shell, or red with a black shell (rarest).
