Find the Rat Pit
Head to the pit at 58, 78 in Mount Hyjal, where a group of Young Twilight Drakes is located. Carrion Rats spawn as primary pets inside this pit, making it the most reliable spot to find and capture them.
Battle Secondary Encounters
If you cannot find one as a primary, battle other wild pets across Mount Hyjal such as Rock Vipers — Carrion Rats can appear as secondary or third pets joining those fights.
Tips
A rare quality Carrion Rat can also appear as a secondary pet to a Nordrassil Wisp in Mount Hyjal.
