Bloodgazer Hatchling
Source: Drop. Though they may look fierce, the bloodgazer species of falcosaur has a beak that makes it predisposed to consuming fruits. Flying type. One of the four Falcosaurs that can be captured in their respective zones in the Broken Isles.
The Bloodgazer Hatchling is a falcosaur pet found in Azsuna, obtained by defeating the Bloodgazer Matriarch during an active falcosaur World Quest and then feeding the orphaned hatchling
Azsunian Grapes.

Purchase Azsunian Grapes
Before heading to Azsuna, pick up
Azsunian Grapes from a vendor in Dalaran. You can find vendors inside Dalaran including Fialla Sweetberry at 52.78, 34.52 or Amisi Azuregaze at 49.72, 40.1, or Applebough at 42.85, 56.91 — without the food in your bags, you will not be able to tame the hatchling.
Wait for the World Quest
The Bloodgazer Matriarch only spawns during an active falcosaur World Quest in Azsuna — she will not appear if the quest is not currently active. Check your map for the relevant World Quest before traveling to the zone.
Defeat the Bloodgazer Matriarch
Once the World Quest is active, travel to Azsuna and defeat the Bloodgazer Matriarch. She is an elite with a respawn timer of around 5 minutes, so if she is already dead when you arrive, you will not have to wait long.
Find and Feed the Hatchling
After the Bloodgazer Matriarch is defeated, an orphaned Bloodgazer Hatchling will appear in the questing area — it can be found at 35.54, 7.48 in Azsuna, though it may not always spawn immediately next to where the Matriarch died. Interact with the hatchling and feed it
Azsunian Grapes to add it to your pet collection.
Begin the Falcosaur Quest Chain
Once tamed, the Bloodgazer Hatchling offers a quest chain that ultimately rewards the
Predatory Bloodgazer mount. Each subsequent quest in the chain unlocks after the daily reset, so the full chain takes at least a couple of weeks to complete.
Tips
Buying all four falcosaur foods in Dalaran before heading out to any zone saves significant travel time.
Check that you have not reached your maximum pet count before interacting with the hatchling, or you will be unable to collect it.
See the video guide for a full walkthrough of the taming process.
