Head to Silverpine Forest
Blighted Squirrels are found all across Silverpine Forest. Your best starting point is The Battlefront, in front of The Greymane Wall, where they are most commonly clustered — though note that Blighted Squirrels at The Battlefront do not respawn on their own.
Sweep the zone for rares
If you need a rare-quality pet, do not camp The Battlefront — instead, sweep up and down the entire zone, as Blighted Squirrels spawn throughout Silverpine Forest and rares can take significant time to locate.
Identify quality by health
Use health values to judge quality before capturing: a level 4 Blighted Squirrel with around 436 HP is rare and worth capturing, while 394 HP is uncommon and 352 HP or lower is common or poor. At level 5, around 467 HP indicates uncommon quality, while 415–434 HP is common.
Tips
A level 4 Blighted Squirrel with roughly 436 HP is the clearest rare indicator — prioritize these over any level 5 with lower health values.
