Guide awaiting review

1

Travel to Sundapple Copse

Head to the Sundapple Copse in the Ohn'ahran Plains and make your way to at 63.4, 22.11. This is the primary area where the Black Slyvern Pup can be found.

2

Kill Slyvern Pup Critters

Continuously kill the Slyvern Pup critters in the Sundapple Copse area around at 63.4, 22.11. Killing critters for 5 to 10 minutes is typically enough to force a Black Slyvern Pup battle pet to spawn, though some attempts have taken up to 60 minutes or more.

3

Use a Targeting Macro

To speed up the process, use a macro that targets and immediately damages Slyvern Pups with an instant-damage spell. Spamming this macro while running up and down the area at 63.4, 22.11 has resulted in spawns in as little as 10 minutes.

4

Capture the Battle Pet

Once the Black Slyvern Pup spawns, a reported Rare quality can be found at 63.33, 26.52. After capturing it, a regular critter Slyvern Pup will spawn in its place, suggesting they share spawn points.

Tips

  • A Poor quality Black Slyvern Pup may appear first — check the backline of the battle for other uncaptured pets before deciding whether to engage.

  • Killing both the critter and beast versions of the Slyvern Pup, as well as the Woodbiter Piculet battle pet and critter in the area, does not appear to improve spawn rates.
