Acquisition Guide

Xinlao is a mount that drops from Anh-De the Loyal in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms during the Mogu Assault in patch 8.3.

1

Unlock The Required Phase

To access Anh-De the Loyal, you must unlock the correct phase by completing these prerequisites: unlock Battle for Azeroth world quests, complete the Nazjatar introduction up to The Heart Forge, and start the 8.3 questline with An Unwelcome Advisor up to accepting A Titanic Problem — you only need it in your quest log, not completed.

2

Wait For Mogu Assault

Anh-De the Loyal only spawns during the Mogu Assault in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Check the active assault rotation and return when the Mogu Assault is live.

3

Locate And Defeat Anh-De

Find Anh-De the Loyal at 34.1, 68 in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. When engaged, Anh-De performs a zone-wide emote reading 'Anh-De the Loyal calls for their master!' — defeat the NPC for a chance at Xinlao.

Tips

  • You do not need to have fully unlocked the assault to loot Xinlao — reaching the required phase via the prerequisite steps above is sufficient, making alt farming faster.
