Clutch of Ha-Li
The brood of Ha-Li are comfortable in the blue skies of Pandaria, hunting unsuspecting prey.
Acquisition Guide
The Clutch of Ha-Li is a mount that drops from Ha-Li, a rare elite in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, and is a recolor of the Clutch of Ji-Kun mount from Throne of Thunder.
Unlock the Mogu Assault Phase
Ha-Li only spawns during a Mogu Assault in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, not during the N'zoth Assault. To access the phase on any character, unlock BFA World Quests, complete the Nazjatar intro up through The Heart Forge, then start the 8.3 questline with An Unwelcome Advisor and accept A Titanic Problem — you do not need to complete it, just have it in your quest log.
Locate Ha-Li's Spawn Point
Head to at 36.6, 37.6 in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, east of the Ruins of Guo-Lai, where Ha-Li spawns and flies an irregular counterclockwise circle high above the ground.
Engage Ha-Li Safely
Without body pulling Ha-Li, you can engage it from the cliff at 36.9, 36.3 near its spawn point, or from the pillar at 31.8, 44.1. Ha-Li has 4.58 million health, hits hard on non-tanks, and has several abilities, so be prepared for a tough fight.
Defeat Ha-Li and Loot
Kill Ha-Li for a chance at the Clutch of Ha-Li mount drop. The drop rate is currently unknown, and Ha-Li can be farmed across multiple characters — the mount can drop even if you have not personally unlocked the assault, as long as you have the phase active.
Tips
Ha-Li can be tracked for loot eligibility across multiple characters by adding quest ID 57363 to the SavedInstances addon's Quests.lua file in the _specialQuests array.
The mount can drop for characters who have the phase active even without having fully unlocked the assault content.
