Sea-Dwelling Isle Serpent

This oozing serpent has a taste for fish. As long as you can feed them, they should remain friendly. Should.

Acquisition Guide

Sea-Dwelling Isle Serpent is an oozing blue-green venomfang serpent sold by Second Mate Sluggs at Tokka's Folly. Complete the Patch 12.1 Original Sin campaign chapter to unlock Captain Tokka's story, reach Bloodsworn Crew (Rank 5), buy and equip The Coiled Huntress fishing tool for 6, 000 Voidlight Marl, then convert 2,500 successful Coiled Isle catches into 2, 500 Coiled Filament.

1

Unlock the Coiled Isle

Start Hagar's Invitation in Silvermoon City and complete What Lies Beyond the Fog. This opens the island to the Warband and exposes its local stories, Curse Surges, and Cursed Fishing activities.

2

Finish Original Sin and Tokka's story

Continue the Patch 12.1 campaign through the Original Sin chapter; reaching the island through What Lies Beyond the Fog alone does not unlock Captain Tokka's storyline. Then complete Tokka's local quests until Captain Tokka's Crew and Cursed Fishing activities appear. This is a separate track from Zul'jarra's Forces renown.

3

Reach Bloodsworn Crew Rank 5

Earn crew reputation from Tokka's activities and Cursed Fishing until the reputation panel shows Bloodsworn Crew, the maximum fifth rank. Lower crew ranks do not satisfy the item's purchase requirement even if you already have enough currency.

4

Buy The Coiled Huntress

Reserve 6,000 Voidlight Marl, then buy The Coiled Huntress fishing tool from Second Mate Sluggs after reaching Bloodsworn Crew. Equip it in the Fishing profession equipment slot; catches made with another pole do not store the Venom needed for this mount.

5

Store 2,500 Venom through fishing

With The Coiled Huntress equipped, make successful fishing catches anywhere in the waters of the Coiled Isle. Each successful catch stores 1 Venom on the tool; gray junk catches do not count, so check the rod tooltip periodically instead of relying on bag currency.

6

Convert Venom to Coiled Filament

Return to Seasage Polo at Tokka's Folly and ask him to cleanse the fishing tool. He converts stored Venom into Coiled Filament at a 1:1 rate. Repeat the fishing-and-cleansing loop until the currency tab shows 2,500 Coiled Filament.

7

Buy from Second Mate Sluggs

Go to Second Mate Sluggs at 51.6, 49.8 on Coiled Isle map 2512. Open the vendor after reaching Bloodsworn Crew and purchase Sea-Dwelling Isle Serpent for 2, 500 Coiled Filament.

8

Learn the sea serpent

Use the purchased item and search Collections → Mounts for Sea-Dwelling Isle Serpent. Its model is a long wingless serpent with aquatic blue-green scales and visible venomous ooze.

Tips

  • Captain Tokka's Crew rank and Zul'jarra's Forces renown are separate progress tracks.

  • The complete deterministic cost is 6,000 Voidlight Marl for the required pole plus 2,500 Coiled Filament for the mount; reserve both before buying secondary rewards.
