Collect one-time reputation
Complete story quests, kill each Coiled Isle rare once, open the 22 achievement treasures, and read the ten Student of Hissstory lore objects. These sources provide a strong initial renown boost before repeatable grinding.
Reach Renown 17
Continue Curse Surges, Vaults patrols/strikes/incursions, and other listed Coiled Isle daily and weekly activities. Claim ranks as they unlock and stop only when the renown panel displays Rank 17.
Reserve 6,000 Voidlight Marl
Save 6,000 Voidlight Marl from Midnight activities. Do not confuse it with the 8,000 required by Violet-Backed Skyfang or with Corrosive Coin used inside the Vaults.

Speak to Jan'sari the Watchful at 58.8, 46.0 on map 2512, verify the item requires Renown 17, and buy Indigo Coiled Horror for 6, 000 Voidlight Marl.
