Cloudwing Hippogryph
Moreso than normal hippogryphs, the cloudwings of Azsuna prefer to nest high up in mountain caves far above the cloud line.
Acquisition Guide
The Cloudwing Hippogryph is a rare chance drop from the
Farondis Chest, a Paragon reputation cache awarded by the Court of Farondis faction in Legion.
Reach Exalted with Court of Farondis
Complete Legion Storyline quests, World Quests, and dungeon clears to earn reputation with the Court of Farondis. Legion Storyline quests award 25–250 reputation, most World Quests award 75 reputation, and dungeon clears such as Halls of Valor and Maw of Souls award 250 reputation each.
Earn Paragon Reputation Beyond Exalted
After reaching Exalted, every 10,000 additional reputation earned with the Court of Farondis rewards one Farondis Chest. There is no known cap on how many of these caches you can earn over time.
Open Farondis Chests for the Mount
Open each Farondis Chest for a chance to receive the Cloudwing Hippogryph. Chests typically contain gold and order resources, with the mount being a rare drop — farming multiple chests across many reputation cycles is expected before the mount appears.
Tips
Running multiple characters through Court of Farondis Paragon reputation cycles multiplies the number of Farondis Chests you can open, increasing your overall chances per week.
Collecting 10 Paragon caches across all Legion factions — including the
Farondis Chest,
Valarjar Strongbox,
Warden's Supply Kit,
Nightfallen Cache,
Highmountain Supplies, and
Dreamweaver Cache — awards the Paragon of the Broken Isles achievement.
