Guide awaiting review
Start the questchain
Head to at 40.69, 33.05 in Maldraxxus to begin the Read Between the Lines questchain, which leads you through a series of quests toward the tower containing the treasure.
Reach the tower entrance
Make your way to at 42.29, 24.1 in Maldraxxus, where you can fly up to the ledge and enter the tower through an opening. If you have flying unlocked, you can skip the questchain entirely and fly directly to this point.
Loot the treasure chest
Climb to the top floor of the tower and defeat the few mobs guarding the area, then loot the treasure chest at 42.38, 23.33 to obtain The Necronom-i-nom. You may also find
Page 76 of the Necronom-i-nom from this same treasure.
Use Enchanting Vellum for buffs
Purchase an
Enchanting Vellum from a vendor and combine it with the toy to receive a random buff: a super jump straight up and down with fall damage applied, a miniature shrink effect where other players deal trample damage, a decaying Shadowlands skeleton appearance that also grants underwater breathing, or a black-and-white visual effect on your game world.
Tips
As of patch 9.1, players with flying can bypass the Read Between the Lines questchain entirely by flying straight up to the opening in the tower at 42.29, 24.1.
