Locate Salyin Warscout
Head to Salyin Warscout at 67.4, 59.4 in the Valley of the Four Winds. This is a rare elite NPC, so it will not always be present when you arrive.
Defeat and Loot
Kill Salyin Warscout and loot the body. The Salyin Battle Banner is not a guaranteed drop, so you may need to kill this rare elite across multiple spawns.
Use the Banner
Place the Salyin Battle Banner on your action bar. When used, it casts Salyin Distraction, spawning a Saurok that runs roughly 60 yards in the direction you are facing, continuously taunting all nearby enemies while granting you 1 second of stealth and dropping you out of combat.
Tips
The spawned Saurok runs in a straight line and despawns instantly if it hits a wall, so face an open direction before using it.
The Saurok's AoE taunt pulls enemies off surrounding mobs as well, making it useful for isolating a rare elite from its nearby adds.
This banner cannot be used inside raid instances, but works in regular dungeons and open-world areas.
As of the Legion expansion, the item requires you to be in Pandaria to use it.
Druids can pair this with Prowl using the macro: /stopattack /use Salyin Battle Banner /cast !Prowl — spam the macro rather than pressing it once.
