Helpful Wikky's Whistle is a Mists of Pandaria toy that drops from Major Nanners, a rare elite hozen found between the Valley of Four Winds and the Vale of Eternal Blossom, and when used it summons a tiny hozen companion who forages loot bags for you after every 50 kills.

Guide awaiting review

1

Find and Kill Major Nanners

Head to Major Nanners at 30.4, 91.4 in the Vale of Eternal Blossom. This rare elite hozen patrols a small area alongside other elite hozen and has a chance to drop Helpful Wikky's Whistle on defeat.

2

Use the Whistle, Talk to Wikky

Use Helpful Wikky's Whistle to cast Summon Helpful Wikky. A small hozen will appear near you — open dialogue with him quickly and select 'Forage for me, Wikky!' before he disappears, as he will die if you do not interact with him fast enough. This applies the Helpful Wikky buff for 2 hours.

3

Kill 50 Enemies for Wikky

Kill 50 enemies while the Helpful Wikky buff is active. Only enemies that grant experience count toward the 50-kill total, so avoid farming in zones where mobs are too low a level. Zijin Hollowfly in Dread Wastes at 44.5, 15.4 are an excellent choice — they are grouped tightly, have very low health, and are abundant in a small area.

4

Collect Your Bag from Wikky

After 50 kills, watch your buff bar — when the Helpful Wikky buff fades, Wikky has returned. He is very small and easy to miss, so use /tar helpful if you cannot spot him. Speak to him and select 'Thanks, Wikky!' to receive a Bag of Helpful Things containing items such as Master Healing Potions, elixirs, a grey item, and some gold. The buff does not survive death, so avoid dying during your 50-kill run.

Tips

  • If your bags are completely full when Wikky returns, he will run off without giving you the Bag of Helpful Things, wasting the 2-hour buff — clear at least one bag slot before starting.

  • You cannot hold more than one Bag of Helpful Things at a time, so open or delete any existing one before Wikky returns.
