Craft and Deploy the Device
Once crafted, place the Environmental Emulator on the ground to activate it. The device persists for 2 hours and affects the environment within approximately 40–80 yards of its location.
Select Your Environment Mode
Interact with the deployed device to choose from the following modes: Peaceful Day (bright blue sky with clouds), Felstorm (green tint with a Fel-like skybox), Calm Cyclone (dark blue tint with stormy clouds), Icecrown (deep blue tint matching the Icecrown Citadel zone), Burning Skies (reddish tint with a deep orange skybox haze), or Twisting Nether.
Combine Modes for Screenshots
Certain environment combinations produce visually striking results — for example, using the Icecrown setting alongside the Peaceful Day modifier creates a particularly striking scene well-suited for in-game screenshots.
Tips
The device's effect is confined to a limited area around its placement point, so position it carefully relative to your subject before taking screenshots.
