Prepare Before Sitting
Equip 
Overtuned Corgi Goggles before attempting to claim a chair, as they improve your ability to interact with the seat.
Require All Four Seats
The competition only starts when all 4 chairs are occupied, so wait at the area until every seat is filled before the round begins.
Start Pressing Early
Begin pressing button 3 the moment you sit down so you can accumulate up to 2 early points before the eating phase officially starts.
Optimize Your Button Rotation
Once the eating phase begins, use the rotation 1 - 1 - 2 - 1 and repeat, since button 2 has charges and using it this way maximizes your eating speed.
Bail If Losing
If another player reaches 8-9 points and is about to win, press the Cross button to exit the competition without receiving a debuff.
Use Debuff Timing
Wait for another player to attempt a sit and receive the failure debuff, then immediately click the chair yourself and start pressing 3 to gain those early bonus points.
Tips
The number of sausages on your plate is random — some plates have 2 while others have 4-5, which directly affects how long it takes to finish and how many cooldowns you use.
Button 2 has multiple charges, so using it within the 1 - 1 - 2 - 1 rotation rather than saving it gives the most value during the eating phase.
Standing or moving through certain spots inside the competition area can interfere with other players' attempts, and other players can do the same to you.
