From Zoom!. He may not be the fastest snail, but he has the heart of a champion. Critter type. An interesting thing happened to me when I was doing this race working towards getting my pet and the achieve.
The 
Zoom is a battle pet rewarded from the Zoom! achievement, earned by helping a small snail named Zoom win a race inside Stonedark Grotto in Highmountain.

Travel to Stonedark Grotto
Head to Stonedark Grotto at 42.6, 25.4 in Highmountain. Starting from The Witchwood flight point with Rafat Smokehoof, follow the road north, turn left before the small lake, and follow the path into the cave until you find the snail race track.
Start the snail race
Approach the four racing snails — Various and Sundry, Glip Gloop Haberdasher, and Helix for Brains are Zoom's opponents, cheered on by Boomboom Brullingsworth — to send them to the starting line and begin the race.
Block the rival snails
Stand still directly in front of the three larger rival snails to slow them down — you must remain stationary, as running will not trigger the slow. After the slow wears off, each snail gains a speed buff and moves very fast, so immediately intercept and block it again.
Use Fragment of Desire
If you have the Fragment of Desire equipped, its daze effect can randomly apply to the rival snails, slowing all three significantly and making them much easier to keep blocked while Zoom pulls far ahead to win.
Tips
After the slow wears off a rival snail, it immediately surges forward with a speed buff — prioritize intercepting whichever snail is closest to Zoom's position on the track.
