Soul of the Aspects

Battle Pet· Wrath of the Lich KingPETSTOREDragonkin type
In-Game Shop

Source: In-Game Shop. The Soul of the Aspects is said to be possessed of mercurial moods ranging from stoic and deliberate to unpredictable and erratic, to loving and de... Dragonkin type. This is also a great pet for many a situation. It can nearly solo due to its excessive amount of fly-type abilities, and its strong type coverage against them ( against the moth, against the dragon).

The Soul of the Aspects is a dragon whelp battle pet available from the Blizzard Pet Store, and it visually and thematically matches the Heart of the Aspects mount.

Guide awaiting review

1

Purchase From Pet Store

Purchase the Soul of the Aspects directly from the Blizzard Pet Store to add it to your collection.

2

Use Against Whispering Pandaren Spirit

The Soul of the Aspects nearly solos the Whispering Pandaren Spirit trainer due to its extensive Flying-type abilities and strong type coverage, hitting the moth and the dragon effectively.

3

Try The Darkmoon Faire Trainer

Run Breath, Sunlight, and Solar Beam at the Darkmoon Faire pet trainer: open with two Breaths to trigger the Dragonkin buff, then cast Sunlight to hit all enemy pets, finish the eye with Breath, then use Solar Beam to eliminate the tonk even through its mechanical failsafe.

4

Leverage Dragonkin Burst Combo

Use Sunlight followed by one attack to drop an enemy pet below 50% health, then fire Solar Beam to kill almost any pet in one hit, including mechanical pets — the Dragonkin passive activates below 50% and amplifies Solar Beam's damage significantly.

5

Use Reflect With Surge Of Light

Cast Reflect before Surge of Light to gain one free round while the cooldown runs, since Reflect absorbs an incoming attack and Surge of Light delivers a hard hit with a chance to stun non-critter enemies for one round, effectively creating two rounds of lockdown.

Tips

  • The Soul of the Aspects is not an Elemental, so it receives the full benefit of Sunlight's weather condition, unlike Elemental pets which interact with weather differently.

  • Against enemies where Humanoid moves are less effective, swap to the Sunlight and Solar Beam combination for reliable damage coverage.
