Guide awaiting review
Wait for Kyrian Assault
Sly can only be rescued during a Kyrian Assault in the Zovaal's Cauldron area of the Maw. With four covenants rotating assaults on a 3.5-day cycle, completing all three rescues takes a minimum of 28 days and potentially up to 6 weeks if no opportunities are missed.
Find Orator Kloe
During an active Kyrian Assault, locate Orator Kloe at 42.13, 44.48 in the Maw. She is smaller than an Ascended and has no wings — look on the opposite side of the path from Xandria who directs the assault. Interacting with her grants you the Sharp Eyed buff, which lets you see small blue paw prints on the ground leading to Sly.
Follow the Paw Prints
Once you have the Sharp Eyed buff, a pink fox named Frolic will accompany you — keep Frolic alive, as enemy players can attack and kill Frolic even with War Mode turned off, forcing you to start over. Follow the blue paw prints carefully; if they stop, take a few steps back then move forward past the last print to trigger more. If the prints disappear entirely, head directly to one of Sly's known locations: at 40.71, 51.58, at 38.03, 39.73, or at 32.89, 44.19.
Rescue Sly Three Times
Interact with
Sly when you find him. The hidden rescue quests do not reset between assaults, so each successful rescue permanently counts toward the 'A Sly Fox' achievement. After your third successful rescue, Sly will be delivered directly to your in-game mailbox.
Tips
If you run directly to Sly's coordinates without following the paw prints, Sly may not be present — follow the trail from Orator Kloe's location at 42.13, 44.48 to ensure he appears.
