Source: Promotion. This pint-sized panda cub is highly sought after by adventurers around Azeroth - despite its narcoleptic nature. Beast type. Summoned by a Panda Collar the Panda Cub is a non-combat pet that will follow around the player most of the time.
The Panda Cub is a non-combat pet obtained via the Panda Collar, a reward available to players who purchased the original World of Warcraft Collector's Edition or attended the Worldwide Invitational 2006 in Seoul, Korea.

Obtain the Panda Collar
Players who purchased the original World of Warcraft Collector's Edition received the Panda Collar as one of three selectable pets, alongside Mini Diablo and Zergling. The Panda Collar was also distributed to accounts 365 days or older at the Worldwide Invitational 2006 held in Seoul, Korea.
Claim on All Characters
As of patch 3.0.2, Collector's Edition pets are account-bound, so you can create three new characters, complete the Collector's Edition pet quest on each one selecting a different pet each time, then mail the Panda Collar to every character on the same realm, faction, and account.
Summon Your Panda Cub
Use the Panda Collar to summon the Panda Cub, which will follow you around — though it will randomly fall asleep and occasionally perform a battle roar, waking up and trotting back to you once rested.
