Prepare a Mechanical Pet
Bring a fast Mechanical pet with a speed stat above 289. Confirmed options include the Cogblade Raptor (abilities 2,1,1), De-Weaponized Mechanical Companion (1,1,1), Lil' Bling (1,2,1), Rocket Chicken (1,2,2), or Sky-Bo (2,1,1).
Know Your Enemy Types
The Pet Battle Challenge: Deadmines encounter includes a Mining Monkey (Beast), a Deadmines Parrot (Flying), and an Ironclad Crab (Aquatic). Counter Beasts with Mechanical or Flying pets, counter Flying pets with Magic or Dragonkin pets, and counter Aquatic pets with Flying or Magic pets.

Enter the Pet Battle Challenge: Deadmines and defeat all three enemy pets — the Mining Monkey, the Deadmines Parrot, and the Ironclad Crab — to earn the achievement and receive the Mining Monkey pet as your reward.
