Sold by Darahir. When it senses the impending death of a nearby creature, the skull will emit an ear-piercing cackle. Undead type. I named mine Yorick. My husband wasn't terribly amused, but alas, he didn't know him that well.

Travel to Northrend Dalaran
Head to the Northrend version of Dalaran, located above Crystalsong Forest. If you are playing during or after Legion, do not use the Broken Isles version of Dalaran — that version does not provide access to this vendor.

Tips
Breed ID 7 is the stronger choice for the Ghostly Skull at level 25, giving 282 Attack and 1510 Health compared to Breed ID 12's 267 Attack — the 15-point attack gain outweighs the 12-point speed loss, especially since the Ghostly Skull already has low base speed.
After a recent patch, Ghostly Bite and Unholy Ascension can now be equipped at the same time. Using Unholy Ascension will bring the Ghostly Skull back to life, giving it a chance to land Ghostly Bite for around 200 extra damage at rare quality, Breed ID 7, level 25.
