Ruby Writhe

Begin Patch 12.1 with Hagar's Invitation in Silvermoon City and finish What Lies Beyond the Fog. That completion unlocks unrestricted Coiled Isle access for the Warband; approaching before the unlock pushes the character out of the zone.

Travel to the Coiled Isle and track Coiled to Strike. The achievement names the zone rares and is a useful checklist, but the mount can continue to drop after that achievement is complete. Rare vignettes appear on the minimap when the creature is active.

Use Coiled Isle map 2512 and visit: Farthik the Plunderer 53.78, 72.06; Siltmouth 50.25, 69.27; Kari'zah the Forgotten 24.93, 73.70; Lockjaw 31.78, 56.70; Hisstara 44.15, 50.39; Garsecg 69.44, 44.85; Nar'zira 52.37, 43.10; Coin-Eye Skully 57.29, 68.47; Big Mon 69.92, 63.49; Sss'alik 57.37, 40.17; Destra 52.27, 32.43. Farthik is summoned by opening the Unguarded Chest at the broken bridge. Hisstara is inside the nearby building, Sss'alik patrols the hill, Coin-Eye Skully swims a wide circle, and the 52.37,43.10 Nar'zira pin is the entrance to Tomb of the Lost Priest rather than the rare's final room.

For Nar'zira, enter Tomb of the Lost Priest at 52.37, 43.10 on map 2512, then reach 63.5,62.4 on interior map 2642. For Szarith the Fanged, enter the Vaults through Eastern Fang at 45.4, 64.9, travel to the Underbelly entrance at 47.3, 6.4 on Vaults map 2509, then kill Szarith at 37.7, 17.5 on Underbelly map 2613.

Ruby Writhe is personal loot, so tag each rare and loot the corpse or wait for postmaster delivery. Published player reports confirm drops from Garsecg and Kari'zah the Forgotten, with attempts reported across the shared island rare pool; those examples demonstrate that the mount is shared across the rare pool rather than exclusive to one NPC.

After completing the circuit, repeat it on other level-appropriate characters with Coiled Isle access. Do not camp only one rare: no official drop rate or bad-luck protection is published, and a full circuit produces more independent attempts.

Use the mount item when it drops, then search Collections → Mounts for “Ruby Writhe.” Keep farming only until the account-wide collection entry changes to Collected.
