Acquisition Guide

The Ravenous Black Gryphon is a mount sold by Warden Krizzik in Thaldraszus for 3,000 Paracausal Flakes, a currency earned through Time Rifts events.

1

Locate Warden Krizzik

Travel to Thaldraszus and find Warden Krizzik at 51, 56.6 in the Tyrhold Reservoir area.

2

Purchase the Mount

Buy the Reins of the Ravenous Black Gryphon from Warden Krizzik for 3,000 Paracausal Flakes. Note that this mount is also obtainable as a drop called Gift of the Ravenous Black Gryphon from the final boss of any Time Rift — only items with "Gift" in the name are the giftable version that can be given to another player; the non-gift version is learned directly by whoever loots it.

Tips

  • If you need Paracausal Flakes and have a character of the opposite faction, you can purchase Paracausal Crates from Shi Everbreeze and mail them to that character to open and accumulate flakes. A mage portal to Valdrakken can be arranged by meeting a friend in Dalaran via the Dalaran Hearthstone toy, then entering Violet Hold together so the mage can provide the portal — this works even on a low-level character.
