Acquire the Schematic
To learn the schematic as an Engineer, you must be a Mage yourself or be near a Mage. If you'd rather skip crafting entirely, the Portable Party Platter can be bought from the Auction House or obtained through a crafting order.
Prepare as a Mage
As a Mage Engineer, you need Dragonflight Cooking learned at any skill level, at least one Dragonflight dessert recipe (such as one found in Valdrakken or the Azure Span), and the blue rolling pin equipped with the effect that conjures a Dragonflight Dessert whenever you gain the Well Fed buff.
Conjure a Dessert
With the blue rolling pin equipped, gain any Well Fed buff and a conjured dessert will appear in your inventory, which can then be used as a crafting reagent for the Portable Party Platter.
Using the Toy
The Portable Party Platter lasts only 3 minutes on a 2-hour cooldown; it offers a hat and food buffs (listed as Party Peripherals in the selection screen), but you can only eat once per platter or you will receive an error — you can, however, equip the hat and eat from it in the same use.
Tips
You can eat from the platter and wear the hat in the same activation, but attempting to eat more than once triggers an error preventing further consumption.
