Guide awaiting review
Create a Fresh Character
If the Gently Shaken Gift does not appear under the tree on your existing characters, the quest may have already been completed on them from a prior year. Create a new character or use one that has never completed the Winter Veil gift quest.
Use a Legion Trial Character
Create a free level 100 Legion trial character and hearth directly to Orgrimmar or Stormwind from the start, then head to the holiday tree to pick up the Gently Shaken Gift, as trial characters can see the gift normally.
Alliance: Reach Stormwind Quickly
Alliance players on a trial character can take the Deeprun Tram to Stormwind, or speak to Recruiter Lee at Stormwind Harbor to teleport to Dalaran and skip the Legion intro entirely.
Open the Gift for Hearthstation
Open the Gently Shaken Gift under the tree to have a chance at receiving the Hearthstation; note that the Stolen Present from the Feast of Winter Veil has been confirmed to not contain the Hearthstation.
