Gather Troll Archaeology Fragments
Survey Troll dig sites across Azeroth to collect Troll Archaeology Fragments. You can use Troll Tablets as keystones to add 12 fragments each toward your total of 100 required.
Solve the Rare Artifact
The Haunted War Drum is one of three rare-tier Troll Archaeology items alongside Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds and the Voodoo Figurine, so keep solving common Troll artifacts such as the Zandalari Voodoo Doll and Fetish of Hir'eek until the rare projects become available.
Enable Music to Hear Drum
When you use the Haunted War Drum, the sound it plays is tied to the Music setting, not the Sound Effects setting — you must have Music turned ON in your audio options or no drums will be heard.
Tips
You can macro the drum sound to play on demand using:
/run PlaySoundFile("soundmusiceventzfrally9.mp3","Master") — avoid spamming it as the audio will overlap.See the video guide for a full walkthrough of the Troll Archaeology farming process.
