Try Before You Buy
Alliance players can board the Exquisite Love Boat for free in the Stormwind canals by clicking a green boarding arrow along the canal side. The boat runs on a track and stops at the dock near the Fishing Trainer, giving you about 4 seconds to hit the red exit vehicle arrow to disembark.
Test at Olivia's Pond
You can also try out a stationary version of the Exquisite Love Boat at Olivia's Pond in Stormwind, where the gondolas are fixed in place rather than moving along a track.
Use the Toy in Water
Once obtained, use the toy while standing in deep enough water to summon the boat. During the Love is in the Air event, the cooldown is reduced from 30 minutes to 1.5 minutes. The boat seats you plus three passengers, but you cannot attack or fish while riding it.
Tips
If you launch the Exquisite Love Boat in the Stormwind canals during Love is in the Air, it will follow the fixed canal track rather than moving freely, unlike the original Love Boat which lets you navigate freely.
The Exquisite Love Boat holds four seats total, making it larger and slightly better-looking than the original Love Boat, though it does not include the paddling Gondolier NPC found on the original.
