The Bloodsail Buccaneers is a pirate faction based in Stranglethorn Vale that you gain reputation with by killing Booty Bay guards and completing a questline aboard their ships.
Complete MacKinley's Starter Quests
Begin by completing the quests from 'Sea Wolf' MacKinley in Booty Bay, including his Scaring Shaky and Kill-Collect quests, before moving on to the Bloodsail chain.
Start the Bloodsail Quest Chain
Talk to First Mate Crazz and pick up The Bloodsail Buccaneers quest to begin the chain. Work through all quests on the boats until you complete Attracting Attention, which makes you the Fleet Master of the Crimson Veil.
Kill Booty Bay Guards for Rep
After completing the quest chain, kill Booty Bay guards to earn Bloodsail Buccaneers reputation. Focus on single-target killing rather than AoE, as the Bruisers that guards summon grant significantly more reputation than the standard NPCs worth only 5 rep each.
Use Efficient Farming Spots
Rotate between multiple spots in Booty Bay since guards eventually run out of spawns — good locations include the inn at the staircase, the spot at 42, 73 next to Mrs. Gant, and the bottom of the ramp by the Auction House and bank outside the inn.
Restore Steamwheedle Cartel Rep
Killing Booty Bay guards reduces your reputation with the entire Steamwheedle Cartel. Use the repeatable turn-in quests to restore it: each Booty Bay turn-in gives 500 Booty Bay rep and 250 to the rest of the Cartel, with equivalent quests available for Gadgetzan, Everlook, and Ratchet. Note that each turn-in costs you 500 Bloodsail Buccaneers reputation.
Tips
Completing even a single quest for Booty Bay will instantly set you to Hated with the Bloodsail Buccaneers, so finish all desired Booty Bay quests before starting this grind.
There are a small number of quests that directly grant Bloodsail Buccaneers reputation as an alternative or supplement to guard farming.
