Hydraxian Waterlords
Classic faction.
Hydraxian Waterlords is a Classic faction tied to the Molten Core raid, earned by killing bosses and trash inside the instance.
Find the Faction Leader
The Hydraxian Waterlords are located in Azshara at 92.71, 42.02 — at the very end of the northern chain of islands that forms a pincer shape. A second faction presence can be found at 62.8, 50.2 in the same zone.
Clear Molten Core Fully
Enter Molten Core and clear the entire raid through Majordomo Executus, placing a 
Battle Standard of Coordination in your hotbar and activating it just before each boss dies to maximize reputation gains. The first full clear takes roughly 2 hours and the Majordomo Executus fight has brutal adds, so keep a healing potion ready.
Reset and Farm Trash
After clearing, exit the raid or hearthstone out, empty your bags, repair, then reset all instances. Re-enter and clear all trash — bosses will not be present, so this pass goes quickly. Repeat this process until you reach 11999/12000 Honored, then proceed to kill Ragnaros.
Grind From Revered to Exalted
Once you reach Revered, each full clear awards 1050 reputation (1155 for Human characters due to their racial bonus). At 20999/21000 Honored, only Ragnaros and Golemagg will continue to award reputation. It takes 19 full clears from Revered to reach Exalted.
No Reputation Loss Possible
You cannot lose reputation with the Hydraxian Waterlords under any circumstances — even enabling 'at war' and killing their water elementals will not reduce your standing, so there is no penalty for farming them freely.
Full Rep at Any Level
Since patch 3.0.8, reputation from mob kills no longer deprecates based on level, meaning you receive the full reputation amount from all Molten Core kills regardless of your current level or whether the creatures are gray to you.
Tips
Human characters receive a 10% racial reputation bonus, earning 1155 rep per full clear instead of 1050, reducing the total number of runs needed from Revered to Exalted.
The Hydraxian Waterlords reputation has no functional rewards beyond completion — it is pursued by players aiming to reach Exalted with as many factions as possible.
