Frostwolf Clan is the Horde reputation faction tied to the Alterac Valley battleground, earned by playing matches, killing enemy players and guards, capturing towers, and completing quests inside the battleground.
Pick Up Starting Quest
Before queuing for Alterac Valley, find Frostwolf Ambassador Rokhstrom outside the bank in Orgrimmar and accept the quest In Defense of Frostwolf. You must be at least level 51 to be eligible for Alterac Valley.
Travel to AV Entrance
Head to the entrance tunnel to Alterac Valley at 62.3, 59 in Alterac Mountains, located in the Hillsbrad Foothills area, where you can complete In Defense of Frostwolf and pick up the follow-up quest Proving Grounds from Voggah Deathgrip.
Complete Proving Grounds Quest
Completing Proving Grounds rewards you with the Frostwolf Insignia Rank 1, which is essential for anyone playing Alterac Valley, and sets you up with the repeatable quest chain that provides the bulk of your reputation gains.
Farm Reputation in AV
Queue for and play Alterac Valley matches repeatedly — reputation is earned by killing enemy players and guards, capturing towers, and completing repeatable quests inside the battleground. Reaching 999/1000 Exalted grants a special reward, the 
Commendation of the Frostwolf Clan, which is exclusive to this faction among Classic battleground reputations.
Tips
Alterac Valley also awards Honor alongside reputation, making it efficient to farm both simultaneously.
Queue times can be long, running up to an hour, so queue early and use the wait time to handle other in-game tasks.
