The Syndicate is a faction of former Alterac nobles in Classic WoW, and the maximum reputation you can reach with them is Neutral at 3000/3000, making them permanently hostile beyond that cap.

1

Understand the Rep Cap

You can only reach Neutral (3000/3000) with the Syndicate — Friendly is impossible. All Syndicate NPCs display 'the Syndicate' as their faction in their tooltip, confirming the faction exists but has no higher tiers accessible to players.

2

Kill Ravenholdt NPCs

Kill Ravenholdt guards to earn Syndicate reputation — standard guards award 1 point each, while the elite guard awards 5 points. Reaching Neutral requires killing approximately 10, 000 Ravenholdt guards, so this is an extremely long grind.

3

Pickpocket for Turn-In Items

Rogues only: pickpocket Syndicate NPCs to obtain items needed for Ravenholdt reputation turn-ins. These turn-ins do not reduce your Syndicate reputation, so by staying above Neutral with Ravenholdt you can continue killing Ravenholdt NPCs while slowly raising both reputations simultaneously.

4

Farm Ravenholdt Manor Interior

Killing all Ravenholdt members inside the manor yields 140 Syndicate reputation per full clear (154 for humans). Myrokos Silentform is the exception among Ravenholdt-associated members, awarding 25 reputation instead of the standard 5.

Tips

  • Only rogues can perform the Syndicate pickpocket turn-ins for Ravenholdt reputation, so non-rogues cannot benefit from that dual-grind strategy.

  • Humans gain slightly more reputation per manor clear (154 vs 140) due to the racial reputation bonus.
