Dream Wardens is a renown-based reputation in Dragonflight, progressing from renown 1 to 20 rather than the traditional Friendly-to-Exalted structure.
Complete the Campaign First
Finish the main storyline before spending your reputation tokens. Completing the campaign awards five Symbol of Friendship tokens worth 2500 reputation each, and you also receive 2500 reputation from the Smells Like Loamm quest baseline.
Reach Renown 9 or 10 Before Using Tokens
Hold all five Symbol of Friendship tokens until you are at renown 9 or 10. At renown 9, your first token grants 7500 reputation, jumping you from 9 to 12, and the remaining four tokens each grant 2 renown levels, taking you straight to renown 20.
Time Tokens Carefully Around Renown 10
There is a brief window near renown 10 where the 200% reputation buff transitions to a 100% buff. Using a token during this transition can result in receiving only 2500 reputation instead of 5000, causing you to fall short of renown 20, so wait until the buff has fully settled before spending tokens.
Speed Up Alts with Carry-Over Bonus
Once one character reaches renown 20, alts effectively need only 20834 total reputation to reach renown 20 themselves, due to the Word of a Worthy Ally bonus. Using a Symbol of Friendship token near renown 10 reduces this requirement further to approximately 19583 reputation.
Claim Missing Renown Rewards in Valdrakken
If your character is missing any renown track rewards, travel to Valdrakken where a mailsnail NPC offers quests to deliver those missing rewards.
Tips
Ping-pong an alt to renown 10, then to renown 20, rather than pushing one character fully before starting another, as this is the most efficient path when a renown 20 character is already on the account.
Each of the four sidequest chains awards a Loamm Niffen Valuable token, so completing all four before spending tokens maximizes your reputation gains in a single session.
