Shadowlands faction.

The Avowed is a Shadowlands reputation faction based in Revendreth's Halls of Atonement area, earned by farming mobs, absolving Fugitive Souls, and defeating Inquisitor elites using Sinstones.

1

Farm Mobs to Friendly

From Neutral to Friendly, kill mobs in the Halls of Atonement outdoor area at 71.8, 40.4. Each kill grants 3 reputation and has a chance to drop Sinstone Fragments and Inquisitor Sinstones. Do not use any Sinstones yet — mob reputation stops after Friendly.

2

Absolve Fugitive Souls

Turn in Fugitive Souls to the Avowed Ritualist for 50 reputation each, then kill the manifestations that emerge for an additional 12 reputation, totaling 62 reputation per soul. Souls hide on ledges, behind bushes, and around corners throughout the Halls of Atonement grounds near 72.4, 49.7. Paladins can use Track Undead to spot Fugitive Souls on the minimap. You can carry one soul at a time but can do so while mounted and airborne to avoid aggro.

3

Defeat Inquisitor Elites with Sinstones

After Friendly, purchase High Inquisitor Sinstones and Grand Inquisitor Sinstones from Archivist Fane via repeatable quests. You can only hold one Sinstone of each type at a time. High Inquisitors award 100 reputation each and Grand Inquisitors pay more, but require significant health — learn their mechanics at 72, 49 before engaging. Regular Inquisitors award 50 reputation each, the same as a single Fugitive Soul absolution.

4

Boost Rep with Buffs and Raids

Before farming, obtain a Battle Standard of Coordination for a 15% reputation bonus. The Atonement of the Tyrant buff from a bell near Caretaker Pancha also increases reputation gains from Inquisitors. Join a raid group via Group Finder by searching for 'Avowed' — the raid leader will coordinate Sinstone pickups from Archivist Fane and move the group to Inquisitor locations. Disable Warmode before joining, as most Avowed raids run with it off.

Tips

  • Mob reputation from regular trash stops at Friendly, so save all Sinstones until after that threshold.

  • Absolving Fugitive Souls grants 62 reputation per soul (50 for the absolution plus 12 for killing the manifestations), which matches or exceeds a regular Inquisitor kill with far less risk.

  • You can do 2–3 quick Fugitive Soul rescues before the manifestations despawn, then clean up the mobs at the end of a run.

  • The Atonement of the Tyrant buff only applies to Inquisitor kills, not Fugitive Soul absolutions or regular mob farming.
