Ve'nari is a mysterious broker NPC in The Maw whose reputation you build by completing activities in the zone, unlocking purchasable upgrades from her vendor as you progress through her standing tiers.
Understand Eye of the Jailer
The Eye of the Jailer has 5 Tiers, each requiring up to 1000 Threat before advancing to the next. Every action you take in The Maw generates Threat, so managing this meter is central to efficient Ve'nari reputation farming.
Avoid High-Threat Low-Rep Activities
Skip killing blows on normal enemies (6 Threat), minor enemies (6 Threat past a threshold), and elite enemies (12 Threat), as none of these grant Ve'nari reputation. Also avoid mining nodes (12 Threat) and rich mining nodes (24 Threat), and be mindful that Stygia Caches cost 160 Threat and soul collection for the weekly quest costs 100 Threat per soul.
Prioritize Rare Enemy Kills
Focus on rare enemies, which offer the best reputation-to-Threat ratio. Major rares (such as pedestal-summoned bosses) grant 100 reputation, normal rares like Elektra and Morguliax grant 80 reputation, and event rares like Agonix grant 40 reputation. If you can cap your session's reputation using only major and normal rares, skip event rares entirely since their 40 reputation return is low relative to their Threat cost.
Check Vendor Purchases Carefully
After buying an upgrade from Ve'nari, the item disappears from her vendor once learned, so a missing item confirms your purchase went through successfully.
Tips
Ve'nari reputation does not count toward the 100 Exalted Reputations achievement, so do not factor it into that goal.
