The Nightfallen is a Legion reputation faction based in Suramar, earned through questing, World Quests, and milestone quest chains gated behind reputation thresholds.
Start with Khadgar's Quest
To begin earning reputation with The Nightfallen, pick up Khadgar's Discovery from the Violet Citadel in Dalaran. You cannot enter Suramar and begin questing without first starting this quest chain.
Complete Suramar Zone Quests
Work through the Suramar zone questline. Unlike other Legion zones, Suramar quests are gated behind reputation milestones, so you will unlock new quests as your standing with The Nightfallen increases.
Farm World Quests Daily
World Quests in Suramar are the primary ongoing source of reputation with The Nightfallen. When you complete a set of World Quests, turn them in to First Arcanist Thalyssra inside your Suramar base to receive your Nightfallen Hoard.
Reach 8000 Honored: Statecraft
At 8000/12000 Honored, you unlock the Statecraft questline, which also grants access to the Arcway and Court of Stars mythic-only dungeons.
Reach 7000 Revered: Growing Crisis
At 7000/21000 Revered, you unlock the A Growing Crisis questline, which involves a raid boss kill and is required to complete the Good Suramaritan achievement. Good Suramaritan is required for Loremaster of Legion, which in turn is required for Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part One.
Reach 20000 Revered: Change of Seasons
At 20000/21000 Revered, you unlock the A Change of Seasons questline, the final major story milestone before reaching Exalted.
Tips
Good Suramaritan is a prerequisite for Loremaster of Legion, which is a prerequisite for Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part One, required to unlock flying in Legion.
Before starting The Nightfallen quests on an alt, obtain Friendly standing with the 5 major Legion factions first, as this is required for the Uniting the Isles quest at level 110.
