Warlords of Draenor faction. It is currently possible to mark yourself as "At War" with Wrynn's Vanguard if you are Alliance. I tried this for science, however I was unable to ...

Wrynn's Vanguard is an Alliance faction from Warlords of Draenor tied to Ashran, earned by looting artifacts, killing rare mobs, and participating in zone events.

1

Take All Starting Quests

When you first arrive in Ashran, pick up all available quests and complete the objectives in each of the four sub-zones, including any bonus objectives — these provide a solid foundation of reputation early on.

2

Farm and Turn In Artifacts

Loot everything you encounter, as artifacts are the primary source of reputation. Turn them in frequently, and if you accumulate around 100, stop and turn them in immediately — dying causes you to lose half of your held artifacts.

3

Kill Rare Mobs With Others

Rare mobs spawn around the four sub-zones and drop the most artifacts of any source; kill them with a group of around five players and turn in the resulting artifacts right away.

4

Tag Kronos and Push Horde Base

When Kronos is being killed or the group is pushing the Horde Base, join in and tag both objectives to earn major reputation gains from those events.

5

Loot Enemy Player Corpses

Looting dead player corpses gives roughly a 25% chance to find a blue hand-in item worth 2,500 reputation each, making open-world PvP an efficient source of rep.

6

Visit the Vendor at Exalted

Once you reach Exalted, visit Tomas Riogain at 44.2, 74.0 to browse the faction's rewards — both Alliance and Horde mounts sold here cost 100 Marks of Honor each and are usable by both factions.

Tips

  • The Medallion of the Legion no longer grants reputation with Wrynn's Vanguard, so do not rely on it for this grind.

  • Both faction mounts from this reputation cost 100 Marks of Honor each; stockpile Marks of Honor by completing Arathi Basin Comp Stomps when that brawl is active before reaching Exalted.

  • Because both mounts are usable by all factions, mount collectors should purchase both from Tomas Riogain at 44.2, 74.0 to add two entries to their collection.
