Sunreaver Onslaught is the Horde faction introduced in Mists of Pandaria's Isle of Thunder, led by Lor'themar Theron, and is progressed through daily quests, a solo scenario, and reputation tokens.

1

Start the Quest Chain

The starting quest, Thunder Calls, is auto-received when you enter the Shrine of Two Moons. From there, travel to the Shado-Pan Garrison in Townlong Steppes and speak with Scout Captain Elsia to receive The Storm Gathers, which kicks off the full Isle of Thunder quest chain.

2

Complete Daily Quests

Daily quests are available across three locations on the Isle of Thunder: Za'tual, Ihgaluk Crag, and the Court of Bones. Completing these each day is the primary source of Sunreaver Onslaught reputation.

3

Farm the Solo Scenario

When killing mobs on the Isle of Thunder, you have a chance to loot a Key to the Palace of Lei Shen, which grants access to a solo scenario where you collect as many chests as possible in five minutes, rewarding gold, Grand Charms, and epics. This scenario resets weekly and also drops Tattered Historical Parchments, which can be exchanged for Sunreaver Onslaught Insignia to turn in for reputation.

4

Purchase Grand Commendation at Revered

As soon as you reach Revered, purchase the Grand Commendation of the Sunreaver Onslaught to double all future reputation gains. Ideally, hold onto any unturned Sunreaver Onslaught Insignia and Greater Sunreaver Onslaught Insignia until after you buy and use the commendation, so the bonus applies to those tokens as well.

5

Boost with Alts

Run the solo scenario on all level 90 alts each week to stockpile Tattered Historical Parchments and Sunreaver Onslaught Insignia. Because the commendation and insignia are Bind on Account, you can mail them to your main — and note that Alliance insignia mailed to a Horde character automatically convert to their Sunreaver Onslaught equivalents.

6

Collect Rewards from Vasarin Redmorn

Once Exalted, visit Vasarin Redmorn at 28.2, 51.6 on the Isle of Thunder to claim your rewards, including the Reins of the Crimson Primal Direhorn. Blacksmiths should also look for the Lightning Forge on the island, which unlocks based on realm progression and allows crafting of vanity weapons.

Tips

  • If you faction change from a character with Kirin Tor Offensive reputation, you will retain the equivalent Sunreaver Onslaught reputation on your new Horde character.

  • Hold all Sunreaver Onslaught Insignia and Greater Sunreaver Onslaught Insignia until you reach Revered and use the Grand Commendation of the Sunreaver Onslaught, so the 2x reputation bonus applies to the entire stockpile at once.
