Knights of the Ebon Blade is a Wrath of the Lich King faction based in Icecrown that rewards reputation through daily quests, dungeon runs, and wearing their tabard in level 80 instances.

1

Unlock the Shadow Vault

Alliance players must start the questline with It's All Fun and Games, given by Thassarian on the Skybreaker. Horde players receive the equivalent quest from Koltira Deathweaver atop Orgrim's Hammer. Completing this questline unlocks The Shadow Vault outpost in Icecrown at 41, 23.9, where the quartermaster becomes available inside the building. If you undergo a faction change, you will need to complete the Shadow Vault unlock quests again on your new faction.

2

Complete Icecrown Daily Quests

Each day, complete the available daily quests at The Shadow Vault: From Their Corpses, Rise!, Intelligence Gathering, Leave Our Mark, No Fly Zone, Shoot 'Em Up, and Vile Like Fire! (which requires completing the pre-quest Crush Dem Vrykuls!). Each of these dailies awards 250 reputation. Additionally, turn in Reading the Bones, a repeatable quest that grants 250 reputation on the first turn-in and 10 reputation on every subsequent turn-in.

3

Run the Daily Non-Heroic Dungeon

Archmage Timear offers a daily non-heroic dungeon quest that rewards one Ebon Blade Commendation Badge, which grants 250 Knights of the Ebon Blade reputation when turned in.

4

Equip the Ebon Blade Tabard

Purchase the Tabard of the Ebon Blade from Duchess Mynx at 43.4, 20.4 in Icecrown once you reach Friendly reputation. Equipping this tabard while running level 80 instances causes all kills to grant Knights of the Ebon Blade reputation, making dungeon grinding an efficient path to Exalted. The tabard enchants available from this faction include Attack Power and Critical Strike bonuses for your helm.

Tips

  • Non-Death Knight characters can still gain reputation with the Knights of the Ebon Blade — all classes can complete the Shadow Vault questline and use the tabard method.

  • Reading the Bones is worth prioritizing on your first turn-in each day for the full 250 reputation, but subsequent same-day turn-ins drop to only 10 reputation each.

  • The Tabard of the Ebon Blade can be purchased at Friendly, so unlocking The Shadow Vault and completing a handful of dailies is all that is needed before switching to tabard-based dungeon grinding.
